glTF Export

glTF 내보내기

Export a scene to a 3D format suited to the web and game engines. GLB keeps mesh, material, and images in one file.

Also known as: GL Transmission Format.glb.gltfbpy.ops.export_scene.gltf

glTF is a delivery package designed for models to load quickly in apps and on the web. In Blender, choose File ▸ Export ▸ glTF 2.0 (.glb/.gltf). GLB is convenient to share as one file; glTF separates JSON, binary geometry, and textures for inspection.

In Python, call bpy.ops.export_scene.gltf(filepath=path, export_format='GLB', use_selection=True). This exports only selected objects, so select the intended objects and deselect the rest. The exporter converts some Principled BSDF inputs to glTF metal-rough materials. Lights require export_lights=True, which defaults to False; Point, Spot, and Sun are supported, while Area and World lighting are not exported.

Do not judge success by file size alone: import the result into Blender or another viewer and check its mesh, material, and orientation. glTF does not store Blender's entire material system. This render shows a sphere exported to GLB and imported back as a mesh.

When to use

Use it to deliver models to web viewers, Three.js, or game engines. Check the file layout for textures and the target runtime's glTF extension support.
