커브 해상도

Sets how many segments approximate each spline span. Higher values look smoother; lower values reveal the corners.

A rendered curve is approximated by short straight segments. Resolution controls how many segments are used for each span. In the UI, set Resolution Preview U and Render U in the Curve Properties ▸ Shape panel.

In Python, Curve data uses resolution_u for viewport preview and render_resolution_u for render subdivision. This demo changes both values to 2 and 20 so the same path shows a low and high resolution. The curve bends the same way, but fewer segments expose a faceted outline.

Higher resolution makes the curve smoother while adding geometry. Keep the preview value low while shaping and raise only the render value you need. A faceted circular cross-section is controlled separately by bevel_resolution, so check that value independently.

When to use

Raise the subdivision when a curve looks faceted. Use different preview and render values to balance editing responsiveness with output quality.
