World HDRI

월드 HDRI

An environment image connected to the World provides directional light and reflections around the whole scene. The visible camera background can be hidden separately.

Imagine wrapping a studio photograph around a sphere instead of placing it against a gray card. Windows and bright panels appear in the reflection, while light from every direction fills the object's surface. In the UI, connect an Environment Texture to Background under the World's Surface settings.

In code, create a ShaderNodeTexEnvironment in bpy.data.worlds' node_tree and connect its image to the Background node. This project's hdri('studio') helper loads a built-in HDRI from the Blender installation and makes those links. With show=False, the camera background is hidden while lighting and reflections come from the HDRI.

Use Environment Texture rather than Image Texture so the image is mapped as an environment. If a bright HDRI washes out the scene, reduce its strength or adjust Color Management. This demo keeps a fill light for shape and compares the sphere's reflections before and after enabling the HDRI.

When to use

Use it when you need rich photo-like reflections and soft environment fill. The sister atlas explains the HDRI-lighting concept in more depth.
