A Repeat Zone is a loop that runs the same group of steps a chosen number of times. In the Geometry Node Editor, press Shift+A ▸ Utilities ▸ Repeat to add the paired input and output nodes and their zone, then put the repeated operations inside it.

Create nodes.new('GeometryNodeRepeatInput') and nodes.new('GeometryNodeRepeatOutput'), then pair them with repeat_input.pair_with_output(repeat_output). Put Extrude Mesh inside the zone and use a Normal field to select the top face. The zone has a default Geometry state socket; add more state with repeat_output.repeat_items.new(socket_type, name). Normal.Z selects only upward-facing faces and extrudes them by 0.42, so the next iteration works on the newly created top face.

Only the last Geometry state leaves the zone, and that state already contains the earlier extrusions. From the same camera, the render shows the mesh tower growing one level at 0, 3, and 6 iterations.

When to use

Use it for cumulative transforms or procedural steps controlled by an iteration count. Design a separate state socket when intermediate results must be retained.
