Light Power

광원 에너지

Controls how much light a source emits. Exposure, distance, color and light type also affect the result.

Light power is like the flow rate of a tap: it controls how much light enters the scene. In a fixed scene, the light contribution scales with this value, but display brightness may not look proportional after a view transform such as AgX. The UI labels it Power for Point, Spot, and Area lights, and Strength for a Sun.

In Python, assign the value to light_data.energy. Point, Spot, and Area lights use W; a Sun's Sunlight strength is expressed in W/m² when Normalize is enabled. These are not the same as the electrical watts on a household bulb. This demo changes one Point light's energy to 80, 300, and 900 W.

Exposure multiplies scene values by 2^exposure. Raising power indefinitely can clip highlights to white, so check source distance, color, and the view transform as well.

When to use

Use it to tune light output while keeping the camera and material fixed. Adjust the World or exposure for overall brightness, and source size for shadow softness.
